Alright folks, get ready for something completely different!
This is a beast to tame, but one of our most inquired bars in our lineup! Yes, you read this right. Black Garlic and Chocolate. Getting the mean mug from peanut butter, we introduced Alberta-grown Black Garlic. Our usual base for this treat is the Madre de Dios, but we mixed it up with this limited edition run, using a new origin, our Single Origin Madagascar!
Black garlic is known to impart a sweet, tangy and rich flavour that is a far cry from its fresh and sharp counterpart, your typical table garlic.
The philosophy at Cacaoworks is to create bars that push the boundaries of traditional chocolate making. A long 1.5 month process of applying gentle heat to the Albertan-grown Russian Red organic garlic bulbs presented us with a rich, and sweet garlic aroma. We then freeze-dried and blended it into our beautiful smoky yet rich Madagascar 70% chocolate. We are constantly experimenting with new origins to see which flavours bring these two worlds together!
